Cultivate ACCESS to Data Science in Agriculture
Starting in summer 2024, we are offering a paid professional development opportunity for high school teachers through a new USDA grant-funded program.
The program is built on the success of the Cultivate ACCESS program. Since 2017, Cultivate ACCESS has worked to increase participation of underrepresented students from Nebraska in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) related agriculture, environment, and natural resource careers through:
- Virtual mentoring experiences
- Innovative experiential learning
- Paid educator professional development and community building
We have outlined what the program has to offer and what expectations we have for educator and student participants. For more detailed information about the program, check out our recruitment flyer.
This work is supported by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture, Food and Agricultural Non-Formal Education Program, award #2023-67037-41015.
