Third Place Pop-Up Events

Your Destination for Conversations on Systems Issues!

At Third Place Pop-Ups, we believe that understanding and addressing the complex systems that shape our world requires open dialogue and collective action. We provide a space where people can come together, connect, and engage in meaningful conversations around systems issues. Our event series is designed to foster a sense of community and empower individuals to make a positive impact on the world.

What is a Third Place, you may ask? Coined by sociologist Ray Oldenburg, a Third Place is a space that is neither home (First Place) nor work (Second Place), but rather a welcoming environment where individuals can gather, unwind, and connect with others. It's a social hub, a meeting ground, and a sanctuary for forging new friendships.

So what do we mean by systems issues? They are the interconnected challenges we face as a society, ranging from environmental sustainability and social justice to economic inequality and healthcare access. By delving into these topics, we aim to deepen our understanding, spark innovative ideas, and inspire collaboration for positive change.

Third Place Pop-Ups offers a series of thoughtfully curated events that take place in various locations. Each pop-up event serves as an informal gathering where people can relax, share their perspectives, and engage in constructive discussions. We believe that by bringing together diverse voices and facilitating meaningful conversations, we can create a platform for collective learning and action.

Our events cover a wide range of systems issues, with each session focusing on a specific topic of importance or a point of intersection between two or more systems. From panel discussions and interactive workshops to community forums and guest speakers, Third Place Pop-Ups provides a unique opportunity to explore pressing societal challenges and brainstorm creative solutions. We collaborate with local experts, engaged community members, and partner organizations working in various fields to ensure that our events are informative, engaging, and relevant. By leveraging the expertise and passion of our community, we aim to empower attendees with knowledge and inspiration to make a difference in their own lives and communities.

At Third Place Pop-Ups, we believe that everyone has a valuable perspective to contribute, regardless of their background or expertise. Our events are inclusive and welcoming to all individuals who are passionate about understanding and addressing systems issues. Whether you're a seasoned advocate, a concerned citizen, or simply curious about making a positive impact, our events provide a platform for you to connect with like-minded individuals and engage in meaningful conversations.

Join us at our next Third Place Pop-Up event and be part of a community committed to driving change. Together, we can explore systems issues, challenge assumptions, and create a collective vision for a better future. Stay informed about our upcoming events by following us on social media. We look forward to welcoming you to Third Place Pop-Ups, where connections are made, conversations matter, and systems change begins!
