Read and Watch

If you have completed modules 1-6, congratulations! The final task remaining in the Garden TOOLS Professional Development Series is to implement a Garden TOOLS learning experience with youth and reflect on the experience. We have created the Garden TOOLS Reflective Practice Rubric to provide guidance along the way. Please read the rubric before you begin writing and recording your reflection.

Make and Do

To complete this module, we would ask that an educator complete the following steps:

  1. Conduct at least three (3) Garden TOOLS lessons with learners.
  2. Collect artifacts to document student learning. This might include taking pictures of the learning process, gathering student artifacts, conducting post-instruction interviews or focus groups with students to gather their feedback on the experience, etc.
  3. Reflect on the implementation experience and create a slide presentation, written report, or video recording to document your learning.

Share and Reflect

Record a video reflection including a bit about how you used the Garden TOOLS resources and your reflections on the experience. Share it with the group on Flipgrid!
